We are pleased to announce that Jim O'Rourke, who has attracted the attention of music fans for his forthcoming appearance in Fuji Rock Festival ‘15 following the release of “Simple Songs,” his first vocal album in 14 years in May 2015, will hold much awaited shows in a concert hall. This will be a two-day musical journey. Every show by Jim has been a once-in-a-lifetime encounter, and he has continuously created a diverse range of music that defies genre. The two dates will consist of four programs in total, which Jim has chosen by himself. The venue is Sogetsu Hall, in Akasaka, Tokyo. The shows that will be held in this impeccable hall will feature all songs from new album “Simple Songs,” all songs from the masterpiece “Bad Timing”as well as the world premiere of new works for string quartet and a concerto for Jazz Trio and Big Band. They are sure to be a gem of a time that can only be experienced here in Japan. The shows have been titled “two sides to every story.” Sit back and enjoy every side of the sounds that will be performed.
